looking for drugs in all the wrong places
back in the 80's you could buy decent weed on the streets of NYC. Washington Square was a popular area, we were a fan of the small shops that sold little bags of pot around the East Village. this is no longer the case. the shops we frequented are gone and if you try and buy on street you'll get busted, ripped off or mugged.

all we have to offer is this... there are still many delivery services out there. the key is to getting a referral and phone number. if you're in a bar or at a party and get passed a joint, ask the donor if they "use a service?" it's a pretty innocent question (easy to say "no" to), and if they say "yes", it's a nice lead-in to ask for the number. another suggestion is to try asking the bartender at a bar you hang out in if they have "the number of a delivery service" (if they're cool like that.)

(disclaimer: we don't use a service. and obviously, as much as it pains us, can't hook anyone up out there. could be we're smoking rolled cigs anyway... ;-)
